1. Who we are
unGizmo is operated by 7XRMC LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in British Columbia, Canada (BC LLP registration no. LL0003300), with its business address at 1771 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6G 1C9, Canada.
In this policy, “unGizmo,” “7XRMC,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to 7XRMC LLP in connection with the unGizmo website and services.
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to our Privacy Officer at privacy@7xrmc.com.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal information handled through:
- the website at ungizmo.net and related pages;
- demo, contact, and Founding 20 inquiry forms;
- sales, support, onboarding, and other business communications; and
- the unGizmo service, subject to the applicable customer agreement.
A customer agreement, data processing agreement, or other written terms may contain additional or more specific rules for customer data. Where those terms conflict with this general website policy, the applicable written agreement controls to the extent permitted by law.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- name and work email address;
- company name, job title, or role;
- messages, questions, and demo requirements;
- communications with our team; and
- account, billing, and contracting information if you become a customer.
Technical and referral information
When you access the website, our hosting and security systems may process technical information such as browser type, user agent, requested page, date and time, referring page, and campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium, or campaign.
Our current lead form does not retain your raw IP address in its lead database. It creates a keyed, one-way hash of the address for short-term spam and abuse rate limiting. Standard web-server security logs may temporarily contain an IP address as part of normal hosting operations.
Information we ask you not to provide
Please do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, health data, or other sensitive personal information through the public demo form.
4. Client suppression data
Customers may use unGizmo to upload, manage, deduplicate, secure, distribute, or audit suppression files and related campaign information. These files may contain email addresses, hashed values, domains, opt-out records, timestamps, and operational metadata.
For this data, the customer generally determines why and how the information is processed. Depending on applicable law, the customer may be the controller, organization, or business, while 7XRMC LLP acts as a processor or service provider.
We process client suppression data only to deliver, secure, maintain, support, and improve the contracted service; follow documented customer instructions; prevent misuse; and comply with law. We do not use client suppression files to build consumer profiles, advertise to individuals, or market unGizmo independently to the addresses contained in those files.
Requests concerning an opt-out address contained in a customer’s suppression file should normally be directed first to the organization that collected or controls that address. We will assist customers with valid requests as required by contract and applicable law.
5. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and schedule or provide demonstrations;
- evaluate business needs and prepare proposals or agreements;
- create and administer customer accounts and provide support;
- operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our services;
- detect spam, fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized access;
- maintain business, compliance, financial, and audit records;
- send service notices, security alerts, and requested communications;
- send marketing communications where permitted and provide opt-out controls; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use website lead information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on one or more of:
- Consent: for example, when you submit a form and agree to be contacted, or choose to receive marketing.
- Steps at your request and contractual necessity: to discuss, enter into, and perform a service agreement.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the website, prevent misuse, improve services, manage business relationships, and protect legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: for accounting, compliance, lawful requests, record keeping, and other obligations imposed by law.
Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed lawfully.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, security, accounting, dispute, and contractual requirements.
| Category | Typical retention approach |
|---|---|
| Demo and contact inquiries | Up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is needed for an active opportunity, dispute, legal obligation, or your request. |
| Server and security logs | Generally up to 90 days, unless required for security investigation, abuse prevention, or legal reasons. |
| Customer account and contract records | For the customer relationship and a reasonable period afterward to satisfy tax, accounting, audit, dispute, and legal requirements. |
| Client suppression data | According to the customer agreement, documented customer instructions, configured retention settings, and applicable law. |
Data may be deleted, anonymized, or retained in securely restricted backups until those backups are overwritten according to normal backup cycles.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. Measures include, as applicable:
- TLS encryption for data transmitted through the website;
- access controls and least-privilege permissions;
- separation of public website files from private lead and application data;
- logging, abuse prevention, monitoring, backups, and software maintenance;
- contractual confidentiality and security obligations; and
- incident response and recovery procedures.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting credentials issued to you and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.
11. International data transfers
7XRMC LLP is based in British Columbia, Canada. We and our service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, the European Economic Area, or other countries where operations or infrastructure are located.
Information processed in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access by courts, law enforcement, or regulators. Where required, we use contractual terms or other recognized safeguards for international transfers.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you;
- request access to or a copy of that information;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion or restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
- request portability where applicable; and
- complain to an applicable privacy or data protection authority.
To make a request, email privacy@7xrmc.com. Please describe your request and the email address or business relationship involved. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and protect against unauthorized disclosure.
Rights are not absolute. We may decline or limit a request where permitted by law, and we will explain the reason when required.
Canadian users may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia. Users elsewhere may contact their local data protection authority.
13. Marketing communications
We may send product or business communications where you requested them, consented, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law. You may opt out of marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism in the message or by emailing privacy@7xrmc.com.
Even after a marketing opt-out, we may send non-promotional communications that are necessary for an active account, transaction, security matter, legal notice, or service relationship.
14. Children’s privacy
The unGizmo website and services are intended for businesses and professionals, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the public website from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, services, providers, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
